Well, it’s been a good run. I’m still feelin’ the Bern, but unless many more states are feelin’ it too (or the superdelegates have a change of heart), Bernie is out. That said, one good thing came out of last night...

Statistically speaking, it’s impossible for Ted Cruz to win. He would have to win almost every single upcoming Primary just to pass Trump, and even then he will not have enough delegates for the nomination. And if Cruz continues down the rabbit hole of desperation he’s in right now, he definitely doesn’t have a chance.

Well, regardless of where you stand in politics, there is one thing we can all come together on: Doing burnouts!

I think drifting is better than burnouts. Because it’s basically a moving burnout.

It will be interesting to see what his long term impact is. If his supporters make sure to actually vote come midterm and local elections then everything he worked for is worth the effort. If they just continue the trend of not doing anything it was all for nothing.

Eh his plans weren’t solid when the media started pressing into him. I like him but I couldn’t see his ideas come to existence with a inept congress and vagueness. The general election is going to be a shit show and who ever wins is going to be the same shit for a term or mr. builds wall toupe mcgee. It makes the youth jaded but they can’t figure out how to register their lazy ass but love uploading pictures of food on instagram.

Is it bad that at this point I just want to see the party system go to hell so badly that I’m probably going to vote for The Donald in the general?

And on the GOP side, Trump's gap over the others has increased substantially since Super Tuesday. At the time, Alabama had the biggest gap of Trump over Cruz, which I was sad about. It's only grown and now Kasich is the also-ran. I'll side with many of my fellow moderate conservatives by quoting the sign in my buddy's yard: IDK not TRUMP tho.

No, they won’t do anything. Young people don’t vote. This isn’t a knock on Millenials, this is true of literally every generation for the last century or so - they always have the lowest turn out.

Yes.

There is no good thing that comes out of “burning it all down” in the belief that we’ll all somehow be better off for it.

As a dirty millenial, I vote even for the smallest local elections. You are right my generation doesn’t give a damn to register or vote when a sample ballot shows up. Even if you’re active and you vote, young people look at you like an 70 year retiree who likes showing up for the early bird specials.

Bernie’s original mission was to keep Hillary honest and prove that a true progressive can make a serious run. And, he succeeded. Unfortunately it’s being countered by Donald Trump proving that a moronic asshole can make an even more serious run. Oh well. I’ve always loved Bernie. I hope he and Elizabeth Warren inspire more genuine liberals to run for office. I think Hillary will be a good president. I think she’ll actually govern and look out for us like her husband did. It won’t be perfect. It never is. But, it’ll be a fuckton better than another Republican presidency.

Agreed! I’m not sure how honest he’s made Hillary, but at least he got the youth interested in politics and did in fact show that a good percentage of America isn’t happy with how things are going.

But I’m MOST happy for Cruz being out. Honestly, I’d rather have Trump than Cruz any day of the week.

I think he’s made Hillary a little more honester. At least in terms of not letting her get away with being center-right because there’s no one on the left to challenge her. I totally agree about Cruz. Trump is a buffoon, but I actually don’t think President Trump would be the menace Cruz would be. I imagine he’d be more incompetent than pure evil.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I think that’s a stretch. If anything, when he has called her out on her history of flip-flopping, manipulations of the truth, and outright lies she’s dissembled, changed the subject, or outright ignored the criticism. Her arrogance is galling, as is the rather obvious collusion between Clinton’s campaign and every entrenched interest group in the Democratic Party.

I’ve been a cautious Sanders supporter most of this primary season, not necessarily because I agree with his stance on all of the issues, but because he’s very sincere and very motivated to do what he perceives to be right. Clinton has shown little sincere concern for any issue, as her message changes depending on who she’s standing in front of and what direction the political winds are blowing today. I don’t think she would be a bad president (like a President Cruz would be), but she’s more of the same myopic Beltway politician beholden to big money interest groups that has driven this country into the ground over the past few decades than a friend of her constituents.

I’m not optimistic for this election, and I half hope Sanders (and Trump if he gets pushed aside at the Republican convention) run as independents and splinter the electorate. The only way either party will wake up and change is if they’re challenged, and that won’t happen if they continue to successfully ignore a large percentage of the American electorate.

Holy shit...so that is the logic Clinton voters have to fall back on?

“She’s got experience” and “Republicans are just making her look bad, she’s not really always changing her views to whatever is PC at the time”. “She is not two-faced, she is just strategic .” -Hillary Logic.

Which investigation is that? The FBI investigation which nothing will come of because Hillary Clinton broke no laws (unless you believe you should apply laws retroactively, which they aren’t) or the 8th Benghazi investigation that still can’t find anything to pin on either Hillary or Obama because there is nothing there to pin on them?

Let me know.

I didn’t say the dirty millennial line. I was just using the statistical fact that the younger generations are less likely to vote.

My point was, the “Bernie Revolution” succeeded if he got them more engaged in the political process. Getting more liberal people into local positions in the first step to a more progressive government.

I don’t disagree with this. I meant honest in respect to her getting away with being a liberal in name only. I think having someone far left of her make a real challenge has kept her from being a less reactionary Republican issues-wise.

The problem I have is that whenever he is out of the race, either through outright loss or being pushed out by Clinton’s allies in the party, Clinton will go right back to being a neo-Con who likes welfare. The liberal streak she’s showing now seems more like a reaction to Sanders than anything she actually believes in.
